Jim Shamoon is a Kenyan service producer who started in film as a production runner more than 20 years ago. He has worked extensively on films, reality shows, television programs and commercials.

He is now the managing director of Blue Sky Films in Kenya, the largest production house in East and Central Africa. He lives in Nairobi, Kenya.

Jim has held the following positions in the film industry ;

  • Chairman of the Kenya International Film Festival - 2009 – 2011
  • Chairman of the Oscar Submission Committee of Kenya - 2009 – 2011
  • Vice Chairman of the Kenya Film and Television Professionals Association -2010-2013
  • Chairman of the Producers’ Guild of Kenya - 2015 to date
  • Ministry of Sports and Culture - Permanent Secretary’s appointed - 2016 - 2017
    committee to formulate the Film Policy for Kenya
  • Interim Committee for the Creative Economy Council - 2018 – to date
  • Sector Skills and Advisory Committee for Film at TVET - 2019 to date
